oktoberfest

october is a very eventful month in the friis home, [not to mention one of my favorite times of year].  three people in our family have birthdays to celebrate – two of my three babes and myself, all within a couple days of eachother as well as a few of my friends and my big brother.  not to mention halloween, pumpkin patches, carnivals, costumes, fall decorating…  you hear me barkin’….  i am preaching to the choir. 

anyway, just thought i would share a couple birthday invites and party deets.  here is what i have come up with:we will be celebrating ozzie’s birthday at my parent’s rustic vacation home in leavenworth, located in the woods and along a river.  can you think of a better place to bring a group of boys?  we’ll take adventures, stuff them full of yummy food, stay up watching movies in front of a fire, and treat them to some fun activities in town.  i’m SO looking forward to it.  maybe even more then the birthday boy.

ahhhh, ms. matilda jane….  for her one year celebration we will be hosting family and close friends.  treating them to an all “m” party.  decorated “m’s”, glittered pumpkins, fall colored banners, and food that begins with an “m”.  so far all i’ve thought of is meatballs and mashed potatoes, so i have some work left to do especially when it comes to the most sacred part of a first birthday….  the cake!
